Foster The People Announce “Good Mourning Sunshine” North American 2026 Tour

Featuring Special Guests Goth Babe and The Beaches on Select Shows

Foster the People have announced their “Good Mourning Sunshine” North American 2026 Tour, bringing their signature blend of indie pop and electrifying live energy to cities across the U.S. and Canada this fall, with support from Goth Babe and The Beaches on select dates.

Promoted by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on September 9 at Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix, making stops in New York, Chicago, Toronto, Seattle, Boston, Washington DC, Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, and Houston, among others, before wrapping up in Los Angeles at the Greek Theatre on October 23.

Foster the People’s latest album Paradise State of Mind marked a major milestone for the band, earning their third Top 10 on Billboard’s Album Sales chart and widespread critical acclaim from outlets including Billboard, NME, AP News, Forbes, Clash Magazine, and Consequence. In 2025, the band brought the record to life on a sold-out global tour spanning North America, Europe, the UK, and Latin America. Building on that momentum, Foster the People recently debuted a brand new live show at Coachella, one they’ll bring across North America on the “Good Mourning Sunshine” tour this fall. Featuring stunning visuals, the production transports audiences through a 1950s-inspired utopia that slowly unravels into a psychedelic dream – a commentary on today’s state of the world that is as arresting as it is thought-provoking.

ABOUT FOSTER THE PEOPLE

Foster the People burst onto the scene in 2011 with their Grammy-nominated debut album Torches, a genre-defying indie-pop record anchored by the inescapable "Pumped Up Kicks." The Los Angeles band quickly became one of the most distinctive voices of their generation, blending infectious melodies with sharp, thought-provoking lyricism.

Their 2014 follow-up Supermodel pushed further into experimental territory, earning critical acclaim for its adventurous sonic palette. Then came Sacred Hearts Club in 2017, a danceable, synth-drenched record that showcased the band's ever-evolving range. After an extended hiatus spent reflecting, writing, and finding new creative footing, Foster the People returned in 2023 with Paradise State of Mind. Recorded between London's legendary Church Studios and East West Studios in Los Angeles, the album draws on late-'70s and early-'80s influences, weaving together funk, disco, gospel, and R&B into something wholly their own.

The result is Foster the People's most ambitious and personal work yet — a record that, as Foster puts it, hides the message in the melody. “People need hope. And when I think about what hope is, it's having the courage to walk towards something that you think can be better, while fully acknowledging the darkness around you." From festival-headlining anthems to introspective deep cuts, Foster the People have built a catalog that refuses to stand still.

ABOUT GOTH BABE

Goth Babe is Griff Washburn enjoying himself. Originally from Tennessee, Griff currently lives and writes music on a 36ft off-grid sailboat named Lola. When not on the road touring or on his boat, Griff and his dog Sadie are off enjoying the outdoors in a truck camper. They explore the west coast of the United States fly fishing, surfing, snowboarding, and of course writing music along the way. His mission through this project has been to raise money for environmental non-profits like Protect Our Winters, Project Zero, or Conservations Lands Foundation. By attending Griff's shows, listening to his music, or buying his merch, you're helping Mother Earth and all its beautiful places. He hopes to also create a safe space for listeners to follow their aspirations and be genuine to themselves.

ABOUT THE BEACHES

The Beaches are entering their boldest era yet. The 5x Juno Award–winning Toronto band, comprised of sisters Jordan Miller (lead vocals, bass) and Kylie Miller (guitar), alongside longtime friends Leandra Earl (guitar, keys) and Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums), have cemented themselves as one of the most electric forces in modern rock. Known for their unapologetic honesty and massive live energy, The Beaches have sold out headline tours across North America, Europe, and Australia, including Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, multiple nights at NYC’s Webster Hall, LA’s Troubadour and The Wiltern, and rapid sellouts in cities like Amsterdam and Antwerp. Following the breakout success of their Platinum-certified single “Blame Brett,” which has amassed over 132 million global streams and held the #1 spot at Canadian Alternative radio for 16 weeks, the band returned with No Hard Feelings, their most confident and unfiltered album to date. Released August 29, the record explores queer love, heartbreak, and the messy beauty of personal growth, and launched alongside their biggest headline tour yet. With over 300 million career streams, performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live, NPR’s Tiny Desk, major festival appearances from Coachella to Reading & Leeds, and support slots for artists like The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, and The Killers, The Beaches are no longer a moment. They are a movement, redefining modern rock entirely on their own terms.
